Activating a web camera in the Zoom desktop application

Activating a web camera is possible if you have a built-in web camera on your device or connect via USB.

1. Activate and deactivate your web camera from the Zoom meeting toolbar.

1. Click the arrow button next to the camera button.

2. Select the camera to use.

The visible web cameras will change depending on who has been speaking last. By adding a web camera to the spotlight, it is possible to ensure certain web cameras will always be in view, even when that person is not talking.

Note! A maximum of 9 web cameras can be spotlighted.

As a host, add web cameras to the spotlight:

1. Hover the mouse cursor over the desired web camera, click the “…” -button and then click the Spotlight for Everyone –button.

2. Note the pin that appears on the webcamera.

3. Repeat for every web camera desired to be in the spotlight.

As a host, remove web cameras from the spotlight:

1. Hover the mouse cursor over the desired web camera, click the “…” -button and then click the Remove Spotlight –button.

2. Repeat for every web camera desired to be removed from the spotlight.

Activating a microphone in the Zoom desktop application

Activating a microphone is possible if you have a built-in microphone on your device or connect a headset via USB.

1. Activate and deactivate your microphone from the Zoom meeting toolbar. Use a headset as it prevents feedback and background noises.

The microphone settings enable changing your microphone and speaker, as well as testing the selected microphone and speaker.

1. Click the arrow next to the microphone icon.

2. Select the microphone and speaker and click Test Speaker & Microphone to ensure they are working properly. Use a headset as it prevents feedback and background noises.
