This is the accessibility statement for the Omnia Espoo Region Joint Authority for Education’s it.omnia.fi online service.

Accessibility statement

Omnia is committed to making its digital services accessible, as required by the Act on the Provision of Digital Services 306/2019 (hereinafter “Finnish law”).

This current statement pertains to the it.omnia.fi service, hereinafter referred to as the “service.”

Conformity status

The service partially complies with the WCAG 2.1 level A and level AA requirements (hereinafter referred to as “requirements”) due to the deficiencies listed below.

Non-conformities

General

  • The service contains visual elements and charts lacking text alternatives. (WCAG 1.1.1)
  • There are multiple links on the same page of the web service that lead to the same address. (WCAG 2.4.4)
  • There are deficiencies in the content text structure, headings, and heading hierarchy. (WCAG 2.4.1, WCAG 2.4.6)

Menus and breadcrumbs

  • The contrast in the menu and breadcrumb active links is insufficient. (WCAG 1.4.3)
  • The contrast in the “Was this guide helpful?” buttons is insufficient. (WCAG 1.4.3)
  • The active language link does not function as a link. (WCAG 2.1.1)

Search fields

  • The search button lacks a text alternative. (WCAG 1.1.1, WCAG 2.4.4)
  • The search field lacks a heading. (WCAG 2.4.6, WCAG 3.3.2)
  • The contrast for popular topics button is insufficient. (WCAG 1.4.3)

Video embeds

  • There are videos on the website without captions. (WCAG 1.2.2)
  • The videos on the website lack audio descriptions or alternative presentations. (WCAG 1.2.3)
 

Preparation of the statement

This current statement was prepared on September 29, 2023, based on the assessment conducted by Omnia. The list of statement non-conformities was reviewed during its creation.

The it.omnia.fi service was published on October 4, 2023.

You have the right to report additional deficiencies and request equivalent versions of content that is not accessible to you.

You should receive a timely confirmation of the receipt of your feedback or request. If you do not receive it within 14 days, you can contact verkkoviestinta@omnia.fi.

Finnish law requires us to respond to your feedback or request within two weeks. If we are unable to resolve the matter within two weeks, we will contact you. We may extend the response time by an additional two weeks as per the notification.
