Renewing a forgotten or expired password

These instructions do not apply to työväenopisto customers who have a Moodle account created with a personal email address.

If the password for an account does not work, most often it is due to an expired or forgotten password. You can still try entering your password again. However, if you answer a question asked by the computer repeatedly in the same way, the computer will also start repeating its answer. If this happened, follow the instructions below, which will work on almost any device.

  1. In your browser, open the address oma.omnia.fi. On an Omnia computer, you can access the page by logging in to Windows with the username aktivointi and password aktivointi.
  2. Click Olen unohtanut salasanani tai se on vanhentunut.
  3. Fill in the required information and click Lähetä varmennekoodi.
  4. Fill in the certificate code sent to your phone. Set a new password.

After a successful password change, you can log in to Omina’s services with your new password. Please note that it may take at least 15 minutes for the new password to be updated in Moodle.

You can also renew your password on site, if necessary, at InfoOmnia (omnia.fi) or at IT-Helpdesk (omnia.fi). You will need to bring a photo ID with you.
