Windows factory reset
This instruction applies to students’ laptops.
If Windows or applications are not working correctly, you can perform a Windows reset. A Windows reset reinstalls the operating system, allowing you to start fresh with your device.
1. Connect the computer to a power source.
2. Open Yritysportaali. In English, it is Company Portal.
3. Go to Laitteet. In English, it is Devices.
4. Click device icon in Tämä laite. In English, it is This device.
5. Click Toiminnot and then click Palauta. Translates to Actions and Reset.
6. Click Palauta again.
7. The computer will restart and Windows will reset to factory settings. This may tako some time. Keep the device connected to the power source until Windows is reinstalled and youn see the language or keyboard settings on the screen.
